Experiment with faces

I made some faces today, punched them with pink wool to the woolen punched background - and "drew" some faces with free motion machine embroidery, then coloured lips and cheeks with a red pencil and embellished it once more.

They are of course not ment to remain boldheaded, but to be integrated -maybe as X-mas angels? -with hair and body, and I'm sure they will look a lot better then!

I can see Sara's influence in these faces :) - with hair and embellishments i can see them as xmas angels. they would look nice with lots of beads around them too.

Hi Paula! Yes of course Sara will always be on one's mind when working with faces! But I am indeed very eager not to copy, that's also a reason why I embellished and machine stitched instead of painting and scanning/printing them, like Sara. But faces ARE interesting, and how are you supposed to do Christmas angels without faces? Or people in general? But maybe I'll try out some beading ;-)! Thanks for commenting, I do appreciate that!

Hallo Anneli, very nice faces. I think they do look different from Sara's. Of course faces are used by many people, you have your own, just like Sara.
