Whatiffing 96-104, Crafting Felt



Something completely different again: what if I'd use some colour combinations which I normally wouldn't? What if I'd use some awkward material, like this left-over crafting acrylic felt in strange colours?

What if I'd combine it with free motion machine embroidery, cutting holes in it, weaving it over and under, letting it tell stories both of dwarfs and aliens ...

i'm always trying to use this kind of felt and find it difficult to work with. i like what you did with it.

Yes, this felt IS difficult: it tears very easily when being punched from both sides and doesn't melt in when only punched from the front ...

I'm sorry the picture is a bit blurred - I had problems with the light as well today!

Wenn ich dir noch länger zuschaue, werde ich langsam wirklich schwach, also wegen der Maschine.
Gibt das eigentlich wirklich halt-und belastbare Verbinungen zwischen den Stoffen, oder sind sie "nur für Schön"

Hallo Allerleirauh - wie belastbar hängt natürlich auch vom verwendeten Material ab - aber in Kombination mit Naßfilzen und/oder Maschinenstickerei prinzipiell schon. Für Gebrauchsartikel fehlen mir auch noch einige Erfahrungswerte ... aber ich arbeite daran!
